Codi Davis, 36, of Terre Haute, IN, was called to be with her Lord on February 24, 2025. A lifelong caretaker, Codi took care of everyone around her. Her passion was taking care of children. She enjoyed the spark of understanding and realization as a child learned a new skill or concept. For some time, Codi even ran her own daycare, where she shared her love and compassion for teaching children of others. Most recently, Codi was a head-start teacher for Head Start School in Terre Haute, where she was loved by coworkers and students alike.
Codi’s greatest passion was her children. A mother that no word can accurately describe, she ensured her children were nurtured and loved. As a result, her children are intelligent, ambitious, and compassionate. If anyone asked Codi what her greatest achievement was in life, she would say her children, unequivocally.
Codi was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Davis. She was survived by her father, Coby Drake, his wife, Beth Drake, sisters Savannah Bray, Brandi Drake, and Lillie Davis, brothers, Daltan Drake and Sonny Greene, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she treated like family. Her love lives on through them and especially her children, Raiden Bennett, Josiah Bennett, and Brycen Davis.
Her last act of kindness was to be an organ donor for those in need. Nine other’s lives have the potential to be extended due to Codi’s giving and selfless nature.
Services will be held at Codi’s place of worship, Maryland Community Church, 4700 IN-46, Terre Haute, IN 47802, on Saturday March 8, 2025.
