Coleen Sartor

Coleen Fields Sartor, 81, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Terre Haute Gibson Hospice.  She was born January 13, 1941 in Terre Haute to Elmer and Nora Fields.

She was a housekeeper and waitressed in Terre Haute for many years.  Coleen loved music and dancing.  Many years ago she was at a concert and was dancing with a handsome fellow, who turned out to be Jerry Lee Lewis.  Most of all Coleen loved her family.  Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her biggest joy.  She will be missed by so many.  

Coleen is survived by her children Troy Sartor and wife Laura Sartor, Carla Bemis, and her significant Teddy Laughrey , Jeff Sartor and wife Robin Sartor, and Shawnee Sartor Smith; grandchildren, Carleen and husband Nelson Norton, Maegan Bemis and her significant other Josh Peak, Jaynie Ridge, Michaela Sartor, Natasha and Rocky Mason, Shane and Breanna Sartor, Adam and Natasha Sartor and Lindsey (Smith) Reese; several great-grandchildren, brothers Carl Fields, Elmer Fields, and Lenny Fields, sisters Esther Hedge, Connie Marter, Donna Chatman, Barbara Williams, and Gayle King, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nora Fields, brothers Tommy Fields and Dean Fields; and two sisters, Andrea Frazier and Mick Trainer, and granddaughter Aliegha Felix-Sartor.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Samaritan Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on the Samaritan Funeral Home website or in person to help the family with funeral expenses.
