Cynthia "Cindy" G. (Wisehart) Thomas

Cindy Thomas, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and loyal friend, passed away on September 18, 2023. She touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cindy was born April 8, 1961 to Jerry Lee and June Wisehart. 

Cindy's life was a testament to the boundless love she held for her family and friends. Her warm smile and welcoming embrace were a source of comfort and joy to everyone she met. Cindy's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, and she cherished every moment shared with her loved ones.

To know Cindy was to love her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love brought light to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her world. 

Her adventures with her grandchildren were the stuff of legends, filled with laughter, stories, and cherished memories. Cindy's enthusiasm for life was infectious, and her spirit inspired those around her. One of her favorite destinations was the Outer Banks, where she found solace and serenity in the coastal beauty, creating lasting memories with her family against the backdrop of sandy shores and endless horizons.

Cindy Thomas will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts. As we bid her farewell, we remember her with love and gratitude for the beautiful, meaningful life she shared with us.

A memorial service to celebrate Cindy's life will be held on October 15, 2023 at 1pm in Worthington, Indiana at the Community Building in the City Park. We welcome you to share stories and enjoy a meal together. Please wear something colorful to help represent Cindy’s personality. She wanted this day to be a celebration with all who loved her.  In lieu of flowers, we ask you to make donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation in her memory. Cindy leaves behind Husband, Roy Thomas. Children: James “Jimmy” Sells, Todd (Chelsea) Abu-Seir, Dakotah Thomas, Kyle (Heather) Thomas. Siblings: Mark Wisehart and Tracie Haughee (Wisehart).  In-Laws: Jim and Lori Anderson, Mike and Sandy Holper, James and Margee Muciarelli Grandchildren: Monica Secrest, Jimmy Garner, James Sells, Cynda Sells, Chas Sells, Jillian Abu-Seir, Elaina Abu-Seir, Carlee Abu-Seir, and Jordan Thomas. Great Grandchild: Naveah Secrest and countless nieces, nephews and friends. 

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents  Jerry Lee and June Wisehart, her sister Deborah Wisehart, Mother-in-law Mary Thomas and her Father-in-law John Thomas. 

May Cindy's soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely to others.
