Dale Andrew Hammond

On this date of July 16, 2019 we bid farewell to our beloved brother, uncle,and cousin Dale Hammond. Dale was born on December 14,1966 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Joseph Chester Hammond (Dec.) and Wanda Rose Taylor-Hammond (Dec.) also from Terre Haute.  Dale is survived by his oldest sister Jennifer Lynn Kiefer and her husband James Kiefer of Fremont, California, his sister in-law Patty Hammond of Twin Beach, Indiana, his older brother Brad Hammond and his wife Eileen Hammond of Georgetown,Illinois, his older sister Tracey Le Clercq of Terre Haute, and his other older brother George Hammond, and his wife Angie Hammond of Clinton, Indiana.  He is also dearly missed by nephews, and nieces Simon Kiefer, Emily Kiefer, Brent Hammond, Steve Le Clercq, Erin Hammond, Tony Le Clercq, Brandon Hammond, Lisa Hammond, Bryan Le Clercq, Cory LeClercq, Chloe Hammond, Ava Hammond, and Alanson Hammond.  He is also proceeded in death by his common-law wife Virginia Couch, his older brother Joseph Hammond, and his brother in-law Ray Le Clercq.

Dale attended school at Riley Grade School, the Baptist Academy, Honey Creek JHS, and graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School.  He was employed at Hammond's Garage, Lowell's Southland Grocery Store, Chesty Foods, Minnesota Valley Electric Co-op, as well as an independent business owner, Dale's Body Shop at 25th and Elm.

In life Dale was very athletic.  He like to play football and loved to water ski.  In his past time he had an endearing love of nature, spending time fishing, and mushroom hunting.

At this time no funeral or showing has been scheduled. However, there is a memorial life celebration to be announced at a later date. 

Our brother was a person of faith.  He collected angels to comfort himself long before he was diagnosed with his sickness. May he now find his peace in their arms.
