Dan “Danny” Mundy was born on July 2, 1941, to Stanton and Peggy Mundy in Springfield, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 84. He and his family moved to California in the early 1970's where they made many lifelong friends. In 2006 he made his home in Watson, Illinois, where he had wonderful neighbors and enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. A place he shared many happy times together with family & friends.
Dan was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses December 7, 1957. His love for his Heavenly Father Jehovah and his son Jesus was central to his life. His faith guided his choices and shaped the way he treated others. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who cherished time spent with those he loved.
Dan was united in marriage to his beloved wife Jackie in 1962, and together they shared 63 years of love, partnership, and hard work. As a couple, they set a wonderful example for their children of loyal love for one another, love for God, and love for people. Dan and his wife also worked together in their Avon business for 35 years, during which time they built lasting relationships with many individuals they worked alongside.
Dan is survived by his wife, Jackie; his children, Stacey (Roger) Leach, Paige Mundy, Scott Mundy, and Brook (Cheryl) Mundy. He was a proud grandfather of Kobi (Loretta) Mundy and Caitlyn Karver. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Weller; his brother, Mike and his wife Janet Mundy; his brother & sister-in-law Ron & Stephanie Taylor and many beloved nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Danny”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanton and Peggy Mundy, and his sister, Sheryl Montgomery.
