With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Darla Sue Tabor, 68, of Hamilton, Ohio, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on July 14, 2025.

Born on January 1, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Shirley and Homer Johnson, Darla was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her strength, compassion, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Darla was retired and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping trips filled with laughter, stories, friends, and family. Music was another one of her greatest passions and she always had something playing, whether it was classic rock, country, or something new she wanted to enjoy.

She is survived by her son Brock Tabor and his wife Casey Tabor, along with their two children, Clay and Sydney Tabor of Beavercreek, OH; and her son Chance Tabor of Chillicothe, OH, along with his son Alex Saylor. Also surviving are her brother Dennis (Collette) Johnson, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Tabor; parents, Shirley and Homer Johnson; sister, Brenda Woods; and brother, Homer Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery, located at 3630 State Road 340, Brazil, IN 47834.

Officiating the service will be Reverend Bert Gurchiek.

Darla will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of family, and her unwavering kindness to those she loved. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
