The world became a little less bright on May 4, 2025 with the passing of Dennis Lee Millam. During his life, Dennis had a warm smile and infectious laughter. With unending humor, Dennis brought joy to everyone around him.
Dennis was a devoted father to Scotty and Stacey, a loving husband to Marsha, and a loyal friend to many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marsha, and his beloved son Scotty, as well as his parents Francis and Mary Millam, two brothers Harold O'Dell and Loren (Buster) Millam, and one sister Kathy Sanchez. Dennis is survived by his daughter Stacey and son-in-law Justin McDonald of Indianapolis, Indiana, and two sisters Brenda Millam of Casey, Illinois and Sharon Conlee of Carlinsville, Illinois.
Dennis was a skilled welder, plumber, and pipe fitter working with Local Union 157 in Terre Haute, Indiana for decades traveling to many locations in this profession he loved. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, happily laughing through many long nights playing cards with his group of buddies.
Dennis's legacy is one of integrity, resilience, humor and love of family. He will be forever missed by all who knew him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of life service to honor the life of Dennis Millam will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at The Casey First Christian Church (located at 200 SE 8th street Casey, Illinois). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The First Christian Church.
