Dolores June Hensley, 88, passed away on November 24, 2024. She was born on February 25, 1936 in Brazil, IN to Giss Sawyer and Helen (Felty) Slough. She was a waitress at Louise’s for many years, and she also owned J & J Sales and J & J Rental Properties. Dolores loved being outdoors, whether that was camping, boating, golfing, or gardening. She also enjoyed traveling and listening to country music. Her family was the most important part of her life, and she loved spending time and going out to eat with her family.

Looking back over her life, she would have said, “I did it my way.”

She is survived by her children Twyla Glenz, Kelly Craig, and several step-children; grandchildren Heath Bonacorsi (Bridget), Michael Montgomery (Ashley), Gina Turner (Eric), Leslie Harris (Chris), Angela Neaderhiser (Matthew), Terrell “Little Terry,” and several other step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Brittany, Billy, Jesse, Joshua, Isaac, Jaron, Justin, Brian, Brionna, Hunter, Bentley, Lillian, and several step-great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren Alanis and Makari; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Vester, both parents, and siblings Bill Sawyer, Betty Simpson, Ruth Robinson, and Tom Sawyer.
