Passed away on January 10, 2023, at Asbury Towers in Greencastle, Indiana. He was 90 years old. Born on April 4, 1932, in Bedford Indiana. He was the son of Harry Otis Fields and Mary Martha (Dye) Fields. He graduated High School in 1949 and in 1950 he married Patricia Sue (Farmer) Fields, and they began their life together. In 2022 they celebrated 72 years of marriage. Donald learned the trade of an Electrician and that became his occupation for 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene and was very passionate about living for the Lord. He was proceeded in death by his parents Harry Otis Fields and Mary Martha (Dye) Fields, a Grandson, Michael David Fields. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue (Farmer) Fields, children, Leann (Fields) Johnson, son, John David Fields, daughter, Rosemary Fields (Mark) O’Neal. Also, Grandchildren: Thomas Beck, Christopher (Jennifer) Beck, Suzanne (Donnie) Pettit, Jonathan Steele, Jessica (Brandon) Watson, Christy Fields, Amber Fields, Andrew (Leisha) O’Neal, and Adam O’Neal, 21 Greatgrandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. He will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, Indiana. There will be no Service at this time. After cremation, his ashes will be held until the passing of his wife, at that time they will be buried together with graveside services.
