Genoveva (Beva) Garcia 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

On December 28, 1965, Beva married the love of her life, T.A. Garcia, with whom she shared a remarkable 58 years of marriage until his passing in November of 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.A. Garcia; parents Claro and Amalia Galvan; brother Jorge Galvan; and sister Teresa Trevino.

Beva is survived by her son Jorge Garcia; daughter Marisol Garcia; son Teodoro (Ted) Garcia III (Michelle); daughter Eva Teresa (Trisha) Marter (Chris); 10 grandchildren Sadie, Marissa, Nick, Corey, Alicia, Tyler, Paul, Ryan, Jamie, and Doug and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Maria Zepeda; sister Dora Perez; and many nieces and nephews. Her family was the center of her world.

She worked for the school district in Utah as a bilingual teacher helping children with their schoolwork. She also helped her husband create Packaging Unlimited Machinery, Inc. in Terre Haute in 1985 where they did business nationally and internationally. Recently, she went back to work as a bilingual teacher for Davis Park Elementary school once again working with children.

In her personal time, Beva enjoyed going to the American Legion, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on September 29, 2025, at Samaritan Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Service will start at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
