George Scott III Obituary

George Scott III, 60, left us, surrounded by his wife and family, on April 24th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

George was born on July 10, 1962 to George “Butch” Scott and Patricia Lytle in Greencastle, Indiana. After graduating high school, George went on to join the Marine Corps.

In 1982, he met the love of his life, Renita (Bowles) and they wed in 1984, and later went on to have three children: Nikki, Cassie, and Frankie.

George most recently lived in Terre Haute, Indiana where he enjoyed the simple things in life. He spent the majority of his time in the outdoors. He loved going over to the river and enjoyed fishing and making memories with his family. George was well known, as he never met a stranger but his biggest accomplishment in life was his family.

George was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife Renita, his daughters; Nikki (Anthony) Bledsoe, Cassie Scott, his son; Frankie Scott IV, his grandchildren Christopher, Desirae, Hannah, Keaton, William, and Kenzlei, his great grandson; Ma’Kari, His sisters; Lori (Jeff) Beck, Stephanie Tant, brother; William Scott, as well as many other family members.
