Gerald "Jerry" Wiseman of Montezuma, Indiana was born 2/28/41 and ended his battle with cancer on 8/28/21. Jerry left behind many loved ones, including his wife, Carole Wiseman and three daughters, Terry Mekosch, Tina Myers, Tracy Wiseman; grandchildren Jason Fiock, Greg Myers, Nicole Nowak and Elizabeth Yocum and great grandchildren Hunter Fiock, Logan Fiock, Kyan Nowak and Kaden Nowak, sister, Connie Bubon and brother John Wiseman. He was a beloved Uncle Jerry and Papa Jerry to many others. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Bernice Bubon, father John Wiseman and sister Patricia Cooper. Jerry grew up outside of Chicago, but found his true home in Montezuma, where he was happiest. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam war, trained as a Millwright and worked for International Harvester. When it closed, he worked for the town of Montezuma, then with his friend Fred Fiock at Fiock Small Engine repair shop. He got his CDL license and drove a school bus for several years, where he enjoyed interacting with the kids, cracking goofy jokes and handing out candy on his rides. He drove a tour bus during the Covered Bridge Festival, another outlet for his silly jokes and good humor. He enjoyed helping kids and provided part-time jobs and taught several to drive. His generosity, independent spirit and love will be missed by us all. A celebration of life reception will be planned for friends and family.
