Guynith Catherine “Cathy” (Bennett) Kelly, 87, of Brazil, Indiana died Friday, May 16, 2025 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, Indiana. She was born on January 19, 1938, to Corwin E. Bennett and Sally (Church) Bennett in Paris, IL.

Cathy, as she liked to be called, grew up in Westfield, IL on the farm. After business school, she spent most of her adult life in Paris, IL and Terre Haute, IN, working as a legal secretary. Always a devoted mother, she served as a pillar of love, wisdom, and support for her children and granddaughter throughout her life. Drawing from the love of animals she learned on the farm, she was the best mommy a kitty or puppy could have ever hoped to have. We will all miss her more than she will ever know.

Cathy is survived by her son Scott Kelly (Mary); and grandchild Dr. Kristy Kelly. Cathy was preceded in death by her partner and father of her children Wayne Kelly; both of her parents; and daughter Susan Kelly.
