Harold Maxwell Obituary

Harold T. Maxwell, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Friday January 24, 2020 in his residence. He worked for over 35 years as a line mechanic at Nissan in California. He was born November 15, 1937 in Terre Haute to Reverend Henry Clay Maxwell, Sr. and Clare (Blakemore) Maxwell. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Anita (Gibbs) Maxwell; daughters, Jennifer Maxwell, Alexis Maxwell, Ylonna Anderson (Peter), and Tiffany Ryle (Sherman); sons, Leslie Miller (Christine) and William Miller II (Olivia); 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Zetta Dickerson and Michelle Dobbins; brother-in-law, Lloyd Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Robbie Owens, Doris Boone, and Barbara Perry and brothers, Herbert Binberry Maxwell, Bruce L. Maxwell, and Henry C. Maxwell, Jr. Harold was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, a member of American Legion Post #340 and former member of the Marine Corps League. He was an avid bowler and golfer and is the Greater Terre Haute Bowling Hall of Fame. Graveside services will be at a later date in Grandview Cemetery. A Special Thank you to nephew H.C. Maxwell III. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice. Samaritan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
