Janice E. (Gorrell) Blanc, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.  She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Rolland and Charolette (Cunningham) Gorrell on October 12, 1947.  Janice was a 1965 graduate of Schulte High School and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.  She worked for many years as a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service until her retirement in 2008.  This is also when she moved to Westminster Village.

Janice is survived by her son Brion M. Blanc (Tracy) and grandchildren Tessa and Tara; daughter Nicole E. Moore (Wayne) and grandchildren Katlyn, Allyssa, and Ian; siblings David Gorrell (Linda), Larry Gorrell (Kelly), Cleo Morris, Charlene Parkins (Mark), Mark Gorrell (Anne), Patty Kitchens (Gerald); and many nieces and nephews.

Janice is preceded in death by her loving husband Michael A. Blanc; both of her parents; and two of her sisters, Peggy fields and Mary Ellen Blye.

Visitation will be Monday September 8, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12:05 pm in the church. Online condolences may be left at www.samaritanfunerals.com
