Jerry Lee Schell, 65, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family.  He was born to Richard Schell and Shirley (Fields) Martin on November 2, 1960 in Terre Haute.  Jerry was married to his wife, Tammy (Harvey) Schell.  He worked at Bemis for 37 years before retiring in 2023.

Jerry was a hard worker and the most selfless man – who always put his family first. His grandkids were his pride and joy and they adored him. Jerry especially loved spending time with his family while cruising. He enjoyed being outside walking his dogs, and a good summer thunderstorm. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Tammy; 3 children, Jennifer Miller (Jack), Jeremy Schell (Cristen), and Julie Wuestefeld (Eric); 10 grandchildren, Ali Chumley, Haylee Chumley, Sydney Miller, Zach Miller, Cole Grigsby, Cali Wuestefeld, Miley Wuestefeld, Laiken Schell, Landyn Schell, and Blayklee Schell; sisters, Marsha Slavens and Suzanne Closson; brother, Danny Schell.

Jerry is preceded in death by both of his parents and siblings, Rick Schell, Stacey Schell, and Patty Schell.
