Jessica Gloria Ford, 76, passed away on July 29, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1949, in Terre Haute to Julio Hernandez and Maxine (Hale) Hernandez. Jessica married Roy Ford. For many years, she worked as a nurse helping the mentally challenged and elderly. She also was an author of two books, Christina and Fallen Love. In her free time, Jessica enjoyed making ceramics, painting, listening to jazz music, and bowling.

She is survived by her loving husband Roy, children John Turner, Taiwana Garrett (Robert), Quinn Martin (Teresa), Roy Ford II (Erica), Armand Ford (Leighann), and Jeffery Ellis; siblings Anthony Hernandez (Joyce), Tyrone Hernandez (Laverne), Deirdra Adams; grandchildren Alexis, Andre, Yasmine, Christiana, Rashid, Michael, Emonie, Shaina, Armand II, Demetrias, Ayanae, Noah, Hezekyah, Eliyahna, Rophell, Rochell, Brennen, Dayshaun, Leslie, Malachiyah, and Jada; several great grandchildren, cousins Lil Sonny and Pamela Walker; other extended family members Melvin, Oneida, Derrick and Tania, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, brother Julio Hernandez, grandson Quinn II, cousin Big Sonny, Tante and Merdis.
