Jimmy Bill Rambis, 71, of Wilfred, Indiana, passed away suddenly on June 3, 2025. He was born on May 2, 1954, in Sullivan, Indiana, and graduated from North Central High School in 1972, where he played football and basketball alongside his brothers. In 1973, he married Tina Sue Carpenter. Their wedding anniversary was a cherished celebration each year, a testament to their enduring bond over 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home and raised their family with a strong foundation of faith, kindness, and honesty.
Jim retired from Pfizer Corporation in 2008 and went on to operate the Jimmy & Tina Rambis Drogheda Farm, raising beef cattle and running a custom hay baling business. A baptized Jehovah’s Witness since 1977, Jim remained a devoted servant of Jehovah throughout his life and found great joy in sharing Bible truths with others.
Jim had a distinctive presence—tall, outspoken, and occasionally blunt—but always authentic. His generosity knew no bounds. Whether picking flowers for Tina or inviting guests to share a home-cooked meal, Jim’s kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Jimmy had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and took pride in being a dependable provider and a man of his word. He is survived by his wife, Tina; children: Travis, Tyler (Jenelle), Troy (Terra), and Tiffany (Aaron); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Larry Wade (Linda), Peggy Frailey, Cindy Rambis-King (Gary), Mark Rambis (Debbie), and Kelly Ann Rambis.
He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Cleomia Rambis and siblings Toni Sue French and Charles Gene Rambis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2697 IN-54, Sullivan, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worldwide Work at www.donate.jw.org.
