John David Harlan, 58, passed away on August 20, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1967 in Middletown, NY. John worked as a truck driver for 26 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Indianapolis Colts fan. He was also known for sitting on his porch while drinking coffee and talking to anyone he could.

He is survived by his children Cassandra Harlan, Kayla Raderstorf, Jonna Raderstorf, and Zachary Harlan; brother James Harlan (Mary), sister Michelle McLin (Robert), sister-in-law Maryann Braun, and grandchildren Austin, Marshall, Conner, Lily, Keaton, Kendrick, Jaycee, and Willow.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ronda and Erwin “Abe” Johnson, son Christopher Harlan, brothers Harold Harlan and Matthew Harlan.

Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
