John S Laffoon Jr. (56) passed away on November 27th 2025. He was born on September 20th 1969 in Terre Haute IN.
John is survived by his children Jalen Laffoon (Lindsay Frye) Avery Laffoon (Blake Speth) and Leah Laffoon his grandchildren, Bryson Butcher, Elijah Butcher, Keegan Laffoon, Brennan Laffoon, Colton Speth, and Cooper Speth, his mother Martha Laffoon (Mitchell Walker) and father Steve Laffoon (Linda Laffoon) his sisters Shelly Thompson (Matt Thompson), Sierra Stewart (Brandon Stewart) and Shandon Laffoon.

John graduated from Terre Haute North High School in the year 1987. He was a self employed carpenter for most of his life. He was married to Gwen Gosnell for 15 years and raised their three children here in Terre Haute. John was a devoted father and friend, he spent his time fishing, playing dice, watching NASCAR or with friends and family. Above all John was an honest, but sarcastic man, who many looked for when they needed advice or just someone to listen.

John had many friends and will dearly missed. A celebration of life will be planned for next spring by his children.
