John Marshall Strahla, 91, of Seelyville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born January 22, 1930, in Lewis, Indiana. In 1959, he married Erika Strahla, who preceded him in death in April 2017. Also preceding him in death were father Roland Strahla; mother Flossie Kittle Strahla; brothers Arthur, Robert, Carl “Bunk” Bernard; sister Lila Stienstra and infant sister Katherine.

February 27, 2021 12:31 PMI met John and Erika many years ago while I was working at Pell's in Brazil. For some reason, we really hit it off and actually became pretty good friends. I'd see them often at the Brazil American Legion or the VFW. They were a wonderful couple and I'm sorry I lost contact with them both. Prayers for peace and comfort to the family.
