Jorita Nation Obituary

Jorita Nation, 92, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born October 5, 1932, in Corey, Indiana to Joseph C. VanDeren and Fay Jackson VanDeren.


She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 69 years, William Ray Nation who passed May 8, 2021, and grandson Ian Nation (Constance) who passed away on December 25, 2021.


Jorita is survived by her sons Van Nation (Patti) and Dirk Nation (Rita); grandchildren Mychal Nation, Jessica Gahl (Nick), Rachel Nation (Darcie), Jari Nation, Maggie Johnson (Derek), and Tyler Johnson (Geornee), 9 great grandchildren, sister Marilou Schwartz, two nephews, and sister-in-law Ann Nation.


Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.
