Joseph Reynolds Obituary

Joseph Jeremiah Reynolds Jr. (Joe) passed away on 26 April, 2021 at the age of 58 in Brazil, Indiana. He was born 14 May, 1962 to Joseph Jeremiah Reynolds Sr. and Ruth Emaline (Fulk) Reynolds in Riley, Indiana. He grew up in Indiana, graduating from Terre Haute South Vigo High in 1981. Following his high school graduation, he joined the US Army in January 1982, where he was stationed in Germany and later Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana until his discharge. Following his military service, he lived out most of his adulthood in Oklahoma where he left a lasting impression everywhere he went, building many things by profession, as well as a family to remember him. He could look at a space and, with nothing but his own imagination, build something brilliant and fix things that seemed beyond repair. He had a love of fishing and cooking, using his passion for these pastimes to show his love for his kids and grandkids throughout his life. He was very involved in his First Christian Church of Sulphur, Oklahoma, where he was fondly called “Joe daddy” and with whom he went to camp regularly, oftentimes as the main cook, until he moved back to Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Reynolds Sr. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Reynolds, and two sisters, Valerie Rost and Ann Reynolds, all of Brazil, Indiana. He is also survived by six children, Elicia Reynolds Medaris, Joseph Reynolds III, Megan Reynolds (all three of Oklahoma), Stacia Reynolds (of Clarksville, Tennessee), Josephine Reynolds (of Brazil, Indiana), and Ana Reynolds (also of Oklahoma). Also, of importance to him were his stepchildren Anastasia and Isaac Espinosa, as well as his grandchildren, Sebastiana, Lilia, Aaylin, Journey, and River. He will be missed by all who will cherish their favorite memories of his goofy sense of humor and willingness to look absolutely ridiculous to get a laugh out of everyone around him.
