Karen Alma (Barry) Goodrich

Karen Alma (Barry) Goodrich of Terre Haute passed through the gates of heaven, at home peacefully on June 13, 2020.  She was born May 14th, 1949 in Lincoln, Illinois to Russell and Mary Barry.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Johnnie Bossingham.  Karen leaves behind her husband Rodney, children Becky (John) Burns, John (Carrie) Goodrich, and Kevin Bossingham.  She also leaves her five grandchildren Jackson and Katherine Burns, Joshua, Caleb, and Jonah Goodrich.  Karen also leaves sisters Kay and Mary, brother Jim as well as sisters-in law Evelyn and Linda and brother-in-law Steve.  Numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces will all miss her bright personality.

Karen was a devoted Mother who always put her family above all else. As a stay at home Mom she always was there at the drop of a hat to help her kids or their friends. She always opened the doors of her heart to everyone and treated them with such kindness. She was a magnificent baker and loved to go fishing, often catching the biggest fish.  Karen was often found playing games and toys on the floor with grandchildren.  It was often said “the grandkids all love her best”.

For the last many years Karen suffered from debilitating dementia, and yet maintained the sweet smile and little giggle for which she was adored by not only family members but everyone she met.

A celebration of life for Karen will be held at a later date.
