Kenneth A Drake

Kenneth “Kenny” A. Drake, 65, passed away on Wednesday August 30, 2023 in Sullivan, Indiana.   

Kenny started enjoying every minute of life in Fairbanks Indiana in July of 1958.  He was a 1976 graduate of Sullivan High School and maintained contact with many lifelong friendships from his years in Sullivan.   He established a home and career as a construction site truck driver and delivered many of the foundations of homes across the Phoenix, Arizona valley for more than 40 years.   Ken returned to Sullivan and began retirement in 2018.  Anyone who knew Ken knew he loved his Airedale’s and NASCAR!    Throughout all his years Ken was known for his completely engaging smile and ready laugh.  He will be missed by so many who had the privilege of calling him friend. 

Ken was preceded in death by his mother Dora (Malone) Drake and father Wayne Drake.  

He leaves behind brothers Randy Drake of Sullivan, Indiana, and Mark Drake of Chandler, Arizona; sister Deanna (DeeDee) Drake of Gold Canyon, Arizona; nephew Jon Drake and nieces Michelle Turner, Angela Drake, and Kristin Drake;,his brothers grandkids Mikayla Meines and family; Drake Turner, Sarah Francis, Logan Francis and Huck Drake.  He will be deeply missed by his family.

Kens immediate family wishes to express their gratitude for the extraordinary kindnesses and support extended during a difficult time.  In accordance with his wishes, there will be private services in the coming week.
