Kevin L. Lundy

Kevin Lundy, age 44, lost his courageous battle due to complications with COVID-19 on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.   Born in Terre Haute to James Lundy and Carla Zukunft Lundy, Kevin grew up in Brazil, IN graduating in 1994 from Northview High School and then attending ISU with an art scholarship.  During his teens he loved skateboarding and had a halfpipe in the front yard so he and friends had a place to skate.  He also opened a skateboard shop in his parent’s home.  He was a bit of a rebel pushing the limits.  Kevin had a passion for art and music but said it was a hobby and didn’t want to ruin it by turning it into a career.  He moved to Lopez Island, WA to begin new adventures in 2001.  He learned to be a jack of all trades while performing in the home building trades and bar tending.  He played music with several friends and was a member of a band, Full On Idle, while living on the Island. Kevin was a kind and compassionate soul, always lending a hand to anyone in need.  He was witty and resourceful and didn’t concern himself with material things in life.  He moved back to Indiana in 2019 to be closer to family and help out with his Grandpa Carl Zukunft.

Kevin is preceded by his only sibling, Brett Lundy, maternal grandmother, Wege Zukunft, paternal grandparents, Willard and Hazel Lundy, and an uncle, Don Lundy. 

He is survived by his parents, son, Henry Lundy of Bellingham, WA, ex-wife and mother of Henry, Alison Risch-Lundy, maternal grandfather, Carl Zukunft, a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Also surviving is a very dear friend from Lopez Island, Simone Ingel.  His cat, Clark is already missing him.  He will be missed by hundreds of his friends from Indiana to Washington.

At his request there will be cremation and no funeral services due to the COVID-19.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at a time deemed safe for all.  Should family and friends so desire, please make donations to a charity of your choice in his memory,
