Lance D. Sears of Brazil, IN passed away on December 5, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1955, in Putnam County, Indiana, to Jack and Freada (McMahel) Sears.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Dan. He is survived by his brother, David (Kelly) Sears.

Lance cherished his loyal dachshund, Petie, loved watching Gunsmoke, and was known for his excellent cooking, especially his baklava and ribs. He enjoyed caring for his yard and spending peaceful time at a friend’s home, sitting on the back deck beside the fishpond and hummingbird stand, reminiscing about their younger years. He was also a proud Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Army.
