Lesa Ann Hickle, 65, of West Terre Haute, IN passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her April 23, 2025 at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN. 

Born on February 5, 1960 in Terre Haute, IN to David and Bernice Johnston. 

Lesa was previously employed as a Deputy Trustee for Sugar Creek Township in West Terre Haute, IN and a Proof Operator at Terre Haute Savings Bank in Terre Haute, IN.  She then transferred to her favorite position as Grandma. 

Lesa is survived by her loving husband John Hickle, her children Matthew D. (Holly) Schimmel from Dunlap, IL and Erin D. Jackson from West Terre Haute, IN.  Grandchildren Connor D. Schimmel, Cooper D. Schimmel, Violet Stephens, and Vincent Stephens.  Also survived by her brother Jason L. (Roberta) Johnston, her previous husband Jack R. Schimmel, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother Bernice Johnston (Harden), father David Johnston, former partner Bubby Jackson, and many friends.

Lesa loved spending time with her family and pets.  She enjoyed music, art, and nature.

A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM Saturday April 26, 2025 at Samaritan Funeral Home in Terre Haute, IN.
