Lyle E. Hamilton Jr., 80, passed away on October 28, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on February 13, 1944, in Terre Haute to Lyle Hamilton Sr. and Leslie (Felling) Eddy. Lyle was married to the love of his life, Rachel Hamilton, for almost 30 years. For over 35 years, he worked in electrical distribution including Walker Electric, Terre Haute Electric and Allied Electric, and he retired from First Financial Bank as a courier. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, photography, rebuilding computers and home maintenance. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Rachel Hamilton, his brother Glenn Eddy (Karen); children Cherie Jones (Michael), Rachelle Stinnett, Melissa Prevot (Theo), Crystalynn Godek (Michael), and Monica Chigo (Benjamin); grandchildren Randall “Randy” Hancock Jr., Joshua “Josh” Hancock, Jessie Hancock, Johnathan Stinnett, Eileen Ghogle (Timothy), Ashley Prevot, Antwan Prevot, Aundrey Prevot, Drake McCune, Michael “Art” Godek, Justyn Juarez and Isabella Juarez; great-grandchildren Jorjia Hancock, Triston Hancock, Shelbie Hancock, Ava Stinnett, Asher Ghogle, Aurora Prevot, Ayen Prevot, and Emeriella Prevot; great-great-grandchild Ezra Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lyle E. Hamilton Sr. and Leslie Eddy, son Lyle “Lee” E. Hamilton III, and siblings Marilyn Bryant (Don), Theodora “Teddy” Burns (Michael), and Joan Cinotto.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cobblestone Clubhouse at 1850 E Howard Lane Dr in Terre Haute,IN on December 7, 2024. Guests are welcome to come and share memories and condolences with the family between 2pm and 5pm.
