Margaret Hamblen

Margaret Hamblen (09/08/1931 - 07/11/2021) 

Margaret “Marge” Hamblen went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2021 at age 89. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going places with her best friend Joyce Hull, and spending time outdoors. 

She is survived by her children Steve Hamblen and his wife, Stephanie, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Keith Hamblen of Terre Haute, Donnie Hamblen Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Brazil, eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Hamblen, Sr., her daughter, Linda Hamblen, and her son, Roger Hamblen. 

Marge was born in Bayonne, New Jersey. She worked in Manhattan in her youth and even took her family to the 1964 New York World’s Fair after moving to the Midwest. Marge worked in and managed the banquet hall in the Holiday Inn of Terre Haute (where her grandchildren loved to visit her and swim in the pool) for more than 20 years until her retirement. To borrow one of her phrases, “She wasn’t one to let the grass grow under her feet.” She will be lovingly remembered by her family.
