“Well done...my good and faithful servant”. Surely our mother heard those words early in the morning of March 7, 2021 as she passed from this life into Heaven.
Mary Louise (Medlin) Eubank was born March 12, 1932 to Charles and Denise (Brevasse) Medlin in Boles, Johnson County, Illinois. She graduated from St. Elmo Community High School in 1950 where she participated in band and the drama club.
She was a loving mother who volunteered in many ways in the community. She was active in PTA, taught Sunday School and later led craft classes at a local nursing home. Mary always welcomed her daughters’ friends into her home. Many were considered part of the family. After Mary retired from Weston Paper’s Human Resources, she joined Wabash Valley Sewing Connection and Bible Study Fellowship.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bob) Cain, Kathryn (Steve) Darbin, Karen (Jim) Ward and Vicki Layton. Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Eubank, her parents, a brother, Bill Medlin, three step brothers Joseph and August Swinda, Mignon Medlin, and two sisters, Julie Farr and Betty Prince.
Private graveside services will be held. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
