Matthew Dale Anacker “Foo” passed away July 16, 2025, in his home, at the age of 59.

Matthew was born March 31, 1966, in Paris, IL. He was a dedicated son, brother and uncle.

Matthew was the beloved son of William D and the late Sandra Anacker. He was a cherished brother to Michelle (Rick) Herring. Matthew didn’t have any children but loved his nieces and nephew like they were his own. He was a loving uncle to Dakotah Adrienne, Cheyenne Lynne, Ryder Mathew, Rhylynne Adrienne “The Bird” and Lucy Catherine “Little Lulu.”

Matthew was preceded in death by his sister Robyn Lynne Anacker, his grandparents Lawrence “Grandad” and Marjorie “Granny” Propst and William A and Clara Mae Anacker.

Matthew had many hobbies over the years, making great memories and lifelong friends. Matthew was a member of Ansar Shrine, Effingham Country Club and a lifetime member of Marshall Masonic Lodge #133. He enjoyed playing golf and cycling.

Per Matthew’s request, cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at 11:00 am (EST) at Clarksville Cemetery. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
