Merrick A. Harris

Merrick Allen Harris born March 30, 1973 in Terre Haute, IN to Danny and Pamela Harris gained his wings on Mary 2, 2021. Merrick graduated from Terre Haute North High School with honors and soon entered into his local union. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #157 and was a 30 year member. He enjoyed each and every year and the brothers he met along the way, as he would say.

Merrick was preceded in death by his father Danny, mother Pamela, and his grandparents.

Merrick is survived by his loving wife Angie, daughter Ashley, son Nicholas, brother and best friend Danny (Tina), niece and god daughter Olivia, brother Jimmy (Bridget), sister Peggy, mother-in-law Georgetta, father-in-law Jim (Julie), sister-in-law Mariane (Shane), brother-in-law John (Kristin), sister-in-law Emily (T.C), brother-in-law AJ, nephew and nieces Jeremiah, Caleb, Addi, Maisy, and Everlee. Merrick is also survived by all his friends and family who loved him dearly.

Merrick’s hobbies included fishing, cooking, and hanging out with his family. He loved to spend his weekends at his brothers grilling out. Merrick also loved going on walks and playing basketball with his son Nicholas. There was never a dull moment with Merrick. He always managed to make you laugh. He cherished the 4th of July. Lighting fireworks and family cookouts were his absolute favorite. Merrick was famously known for his social security casserole. He lived life to his fullest everyday.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Merrick on Thursday May 6, 2021 at the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #157 Union Hall from 3:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Online condolences may be left at www.samaritanfunerals.com
