God has called home another angel to his side.  Michael Noel Dawson, II passed on October 1, 2024, around 8:00 p.m. at Union Hospital.  Michael was born August 1, 1967, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Michael Noel Dawson, Sr. and Karen Lee (Elleman) Dawson. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Helen Dawson and Theodore and Marguerite Elleman, Aunt Yvonne (Dawson) Brown, and Uncle Delbert Ted Elleman, Jr.

Michael graduated from LaSalle/Peru High School in Illinois and went on to study music education at Indiana State University. He was a proud resident of Terre haute, Indiana and was a member of Central Christian Church where he was a member of the Men’s Christian Bowling League.  He worked at the Kroger Company in many roles for 27 years and will be greatly missed.

Michael was a soft spoken, kind and gentle soul with a charming, warm, and honest sense of humor that would often go unnoticed if you weren’t paying attention.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending local sporting events and music concerts. 

He loved his family and is survived by his brothers Patrick and wife Kara Dawson, Eric and wife Diana Dawson, sister Kelsi Wilson, Aunt Marylou and Uncle John Summers, nieces and nephews Zachary, Zane, Alyssa, Joshua, and Nicholas Dawson, Tyler and wife Allie Good, and Jethro Wilson, and many cousins.

Family, friends, and others are invited to Samaritan Funeral Home at 2425 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute on Friday October 11, 2024.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.  We will celebrate his life and most certainly mourn his passing.  Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
