Michael Dale Vieke

Michael Dale “Bibby” Vieke, 66, of Sullivan, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born May 31, 1959, in Vincennes, IN to Don Vieke and Dorothy (Sauer) Vieke.

He was a 1977 graduate of South Knox High School, and was a US Army veteran, proudly serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Mike graduated from Vincennes University’s Aviation program, after his time in the service. He owned and operated Vieke Aviation, where he was known as an exceptional plane mechanic and pilot.  His story telling and sense of humor were enjoyed by many and won’t be forgotten.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters Jacqui Vieke Bogard (Kenny) and Juli Vieke-Peach; brother Ernie Vieke; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles.
