Nathan Lee Summers Obituary

Nathan Lee Summers, 64, of Brazil, IN passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in his home. He was born to Enos Summers and Dorothy (Bryan) Summers on November 20, 1961 in Charleston Heights, SC. Nathan was raised in the Clayton/Bellvile area and went to high school at Cascade. He worked for Heritage Environmental in Indianapolis and for Roto-Rooter in Bloomington.

Nathan loved to fish, hunt, and trap – a real outdoors guy. He loved to talk and tell stories. No one ever had to ask him twice to do anything, he would help anyone and did it with a smile and a joke. He loved the children, his grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He would talk and kid around with them at every opportunity.

He was married to the love of his life, Jacque (Brush) Summers. He would bring her flowers unexpectedly and they danced to only one song, “Save Room”. When he passed, he was well loved and cared for by many.

Nathan is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Jacque; brother Forrest Summers (Beth) of Plainfield, Malcolm Summers of Brazil; children Tamara Ann Wagle (David) of California, William South (Jan) of Florida, Michael South (Chelsea) of Terre Haute; mother-in-law Mary Lou Cox Britten; sister-in-law Angie Kowitz; brother-in-law Church Brush; six granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com
