Paul Wayne Hoover Obituary

Paul Wayne Hoover, 82, of Loogootee, IN passed away in the company of his family on February 2, 2026.  He was born on June 17,1943 to Charles Hoover and Helen (Johnson) Hoover.  Paul is preceded in death by both parents; his wife Brenda Hoover; brother Richard Hoover; niece Tarin Harlan; as well as his stepson Jason Reed.  He is survived by his nieces Oressa Patterson (Larry) and Teresa Wethington (Frank); grandchildren Justin Reed (Bree), Cassie, and Sidney; Stepson Tony Reed; his caring in-laws, who considered him to be close family; many great nieces and nephews as well as many friends and family in Loogootee, IN that cared for him. Paul served overseas in the United States Army.  He owned and operated Hoover Neon Sign Shop in Indianapolis. Paul enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, and staying at his trailer on Monroe Lake.  While living in Las Vegas Paul and his wife liked to ride 4-wheelers in the desert.  Paul also liked going to car shows.  Paul’s cremains will be laid to rest with his wife at Bailey Cemetery in Johnsonville, IL.  There will be a celebration of life for Paul at a later date.
