The saddest morning of our lives, when we lost the dearest, loving and kindest man that touched the hearts of so many, Richard A. Herron, 72, died December 16, 2020. He was born May 4, 1948 in Brazil, Indiana to Kenneth and Bonnie Herron. He mainly grew up Indianapolis area. Graduating from Broad Ripple High School. He dedicated his life February 11, 1961 to his primary purpose of being a servant of Jehovah God. This led to him serving four years in Brooklyn, New York from 1967 to 1971. In 1969 he found the woman that won his heart, Susan L. Strege. They were married on May 22, 1971. He was known for being a perfectionist in his skill of wallpapering and painting. He loved to go camping and go golfing with friends. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Bonnie Herron; father-in-law, G.C. Strege; sister, Kathy A. Jesko. Rick is survived by his devoted wife; brother, Kenneth Herron; sister, Marcia Mendenhall (husband Ed); brother-in-law, Donald Strege (wife Karen), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Forest Park Congregation In Brazil. His smile and laughter will always be in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. At the family’s request, no services are scheduled.
