Robert "Bob" Tabor Obituary

Robert (Bob) Lee Tabor, 75, passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on the 20th of January, 2021. He was born June 25, 1945 in Brazil, Indiana to Mary Ellen (McIndoo) and Hanford (Hank) Leslie Tabor.
Growing up in a large family of seven siblings, Bob understood what it meant to be selfless, work hard and get along with others which made it easy for him to make many friends over the years. He loved to fish, boat and hunt. He also enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends. He attended Brazil High School and joined the U.S. Army. He served the United States Army for four years where he was a medic in the Vietnam war. Through the years he worked various jobs including Cook’s Sawmill in Reelsville, Indiana and Bemis Company in Terre Haute, Indiana. Bob was an avid Colts football fan, and also loved the Chicago Bears. He was a member and supporter of the VFW.
Loved ones left to cherish and celebrate his memory are his two daughters, Kimberly Tabor of Indianapolis, Indiana and Sherri Bingham (husband David) of Arizona City, Arizona; sisters Mary Lou Keeney (husband Larry) of Brazil, Indiana, Barbara Ward of Bedford, Indiana; brothers, Jim Tabor (wife Susie) of Centerpoint, Indiana, John Tabor (wife Madonna) of Wildwood, Florida, George Tabor of Vincennes, Indiana; five grandchildren, Tiffany Tabor, Bethany Pope, James Hall, Kevin Hall, Justin Hall; four great-grandchildren, Anastasia Elaine Tabor, Nikolai Lee Tabor, Tiffany Bingham and Baylei Johnson; companion Charlotte Dotterweich as well as many loving nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carolyn (Tabor) Pierce and former wife, Vicki (Searing) Lovins.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends and will remain in our hearts.
In lieu of services a Celebration of Life memorial will take place at a later date and time.
