Robert “Chris” Halter, 65, of Terre Haute and formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Sunday February 16, 2025 in his residence. He was born October 5, 1959 in Vincennes to Robert H Halter and Karen (Kimmel) Halter Murray. Chris is survived by his father, Robert Halter, sisters Amanda Kosto (David) and Jayne Ginopolis; brother, Timothy Halter; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Murray, and his brother, Anthony Halter. Chris was a lovely man with a caring and generous soul, loved by many, always putting his family and many friends ahead of himself.  Cremation has been chosen.
