Robert “Jay” Walls, 64, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Union Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born August 8, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Robert Gene Walls and Alta Mae Walls.

Jay worked for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 157 for many years. He was also a member of the Riley American Legion. He loved his family and friends deeply. Jay enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, Angela, camping, fishing, and working on his garden of which he was so proud. He also looked forward to hunting season. Jay was a friend to many and never met a stranger. He loved to chat, hoping to put a smile on your face. He will be deeply missed.

Jay is survived by his wife Angela Walls, daughters Tasha McCoy (Zach), Halee Clinkenbeard (Conner), MacKenzie Cooper (Tristin), stepson Darren Zaremba, grandchildren, Matthew, Maddox, Noah, Minx, Poppy, Palmer, and Porter. He is also survived by his mother, Alta Walls, siblings Debbie McKay (Dwight), Dan Walls (Debbie), several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gene Walls, grandparents James and Opal Tate, and Virgil and Ida Walls.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Mount Pleasant Church from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a service led by Pastor Rick Swan at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
