Ron West Obituary

Ron Resided in Terre Haute, Indiana for the last 20 years, previously from Michigan, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his home with his wife Merri McKenzie West by his side.  Ron was born to Herman L. West and Edna Marie Harness West on September 23, 1956. He was preceded in death by both parents ; sister Katherine Bedgood and her husband Lee Bedgood; brother Wayne Harness.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife; son Adam Keith West of Michigan; step son TJ Mckenzie and Brittney of Terre Haute;  brother Roger Harness and Nancy of Michigan; sister Janet Hauser of Michigan; brother Larry West and Lynn of Michigan; sister Joyce Flud of Indianapolis; sister in law Margaret Harness of Florida;  granddaughter Layla of Terre Haute, as well as Aunts, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ron had recently retired from working at several Dealerships in Terre Haute as a detailer. He enjoyed working on models, collecting hot wheels, HO scale trains, as well as pocket knives and keeping up on all Ford spec’s as well as collecting Ford branded items. He loved to travel back to Michigan and visit his family when he could. He enjoyed working during the Covered Bridge Festival at his church’s yardsale and then going to Flea Markets and antique stores. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and loved Country Music.

Celebration of Life will take place on January 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at North Union United Methodist Church, 6977 W SR 42, Brazil, Indiana 47834 with burial immediately following at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City, Indiana.
