Rose Marie Sullivan Mullen, 86, passed away at home on January 19, 2021. She was born on February 17, 1934 to Laura Smith Mullen and William Joseph Mullen of Terre Haute. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil Patrick Sullivan; son, Christopher, sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Burk, as well as her brother in law Jerry Sullivan. She is survived by her children, William Fredrick Sullivan (Jerri Haney) of Carmel, Laura Anastasia (Stacey) Tucker of Terre Haute, Timothy Kevin Sullivan ( Martha) of Bloomington, Vincent Jay Sullivan of Fishers, Bonita “Bonnie” Rose Thompson (Travis) of Terre Haute; 15 grandchildren, Devan Allen, Steven Sullivan, Ashley Tucker, Schyler Sullivan, Kelsey Sullivan, Kathryn Sullivan, David Tucker Jr., Joshua Tucker, Conner Sullivan, Keegan Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, Anna Sullivan, Alyssa Petrowski, Alexis Sutliff, Rick Thompson; 7 great-grandchildren Irie, Omni, Mason, Addison, Jace, Maddy, and Nolan; 3 loving nephews Tony Burk, Mickey Burk, and Kenny Burk, as well as her life-long friend Rosemary Bosserman; Ralph Servie her companion of 23 years , and Teri Parsons, whom was like a daughter to her. Rose attended St. Benedict’s Catholic School and State Laboratory where she graduated in 1952. Rose Marie and Neil Patrick Sullivan were married on February 27, 1954 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. They were married for 38 years before Neil passed. Rose was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1960. She served as Mother’s Club President and Alter Society President. She also served as President of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Rose served as Secretary of T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly.) As well as National Counsel of Catholic Woman (The Christmas Store.) She belonged to a Canasta group in which she cherished the friendships that formed from that. Some of Rose’s favorite memories were participating in Municipal musicals, Chaperoning her kid’s field trips, and riding bikes with her friends. A private service will be held for Rose. In lieu of flowers she had asked that donations be made to the Catholic Charities Food Bank. The family would like to give a special thank you to Harrison Crossing Retirement Community and Staff especially Susan. Also a thank you to Southern Care Hospice Service staff, Jamie and Sherry, and another special thanks to Help at Home Anna, Hope and Brandi.
