Sonja Dawn Caton, 48, passed away on March 11, 2025. She was born on June 8, 1976 in Terre Haute. Sonja was a devoted caregiver to her late son Dillon.  She was also an avid animal lover and rescuer.

She is survived by her daughter Tiffani Caton, mother Victoria Flick, father Pete Flick, father Daniel Penrod, siblings Chelsey South, Gretchen Flick, and Heidi Baker (Wes); granddaughter Maizee Doty, and nephews John Baker and Luke Baker.  She also is survived by her beloved cat Marbley. 

She was preceded in death by her son Dillon Caton, who passed in 2017.

Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2:30 pm to 4 pm at Cornerstone Bible Church (located at 65 Home Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803). A funeral service will be held at 4 pm at the church with a dinner to follow for those in attendance. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/) or United Cerebral Palsy (https://ucp.org/).
