Stanford Ray Tyler, 68, a beloved Christian man, devoted family member, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at Union Hospital on May 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Joseph L. Tyler and Eleanor R. Allen Tyler, Stanford lived a life marked by faith, laughter, and a deep commitment to serving others.
For over 50 years, Stanford dedicated his career as a Certified Cardiographic Technician, touching countless lives through his expertise and commitment to patient care. He took great pride in training and mentoring others in his field, leaving behind a legacy of knowledge and compassion.
A faithful servant of God, Stanford was an active member of Bethlehem Temple Church, where he served on the church board. His unwavering faith and dedication to his spiritual community were a testament to his love for the Lord.
Stanford was truly the life of the party; his infectious laughter, warm smile, and joyful spirit lit up every room. He loved watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and making memories that will be treasured forever. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Stanford was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eleanor Tyler, and his siblings Jerri Lynn Allen, Joseph Tyler Jr., Stuart Tyler, and Roslyn Tyler Peoples. He is survived by his siblings, Steven Tyler (Brenda), Marvel Tyler Sibande, Ross Tyler (Angela), and Toni Tyler, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved church family.

A memorial service to celebrate Stanford’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 S 15th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
