Stephanie N. Ely, 31, of Effingham, Illinois passed away Monday February 24, 2025 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born September 23, 1993 in Olney, Illinois to Jon Ely and Julie (Bowman) Ely. She is survived by daughter, Dalilah Ann Marie Ely at home in Effingham, IL; mother, Julie (Tom) Tarrant of Effingham, IL; father, Jon (Myra) Ely of Wheeler, IL; maternal grandmother, Candy (Al) Burgess of Wheeler, IL; brothers, Rusty (Marla) Golden of Edgewood, IL, Damian (Destiny) Ely of Texas, and Johnathon C. Ely of Olney, IL; three nieces, six nephews, two great niece, and three great nephews. Stephanie was a 2010 graduate of Effingham High School. She loved writing, drawing, coloring, playing bingo, and spending her spare time driving endlessly to new places and finding new places to dine while listening to music. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, family and friends. Stephanie battled a lifetime with juvenile diabetes that ultimately ended her stay here on earth in full organ failure. She was proceeded in death by, dad, Mark A. Golden; paternal grandparents, Wendell and Carolyn Ely and Mark E. and Marge Golden; maternal grandfather, Steve Bloemer; great grandparents, Harley and AnnaMae Osborn; aunt, Shirley Mae Russell Brown, and special friend, Donald Brown.
