Stephen Bartos Obituary

Stephen F. Bartos, 74, passed away on October 22, 2023. He was born on March 4, 1949 in Terre Haute to Stephen Bartos and Virginia (Northrop) Bartos. He graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1967. Stephen was married to Sheryl Bartos for 51 years, and he worked for GTE, Boeing, and US West. He was a proud Army Veteran serving 1 year in Vietnam. He loved watching Notre Dame and the Colts play, and he enjoyed watching Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon. Stephen was also a big Candy Crush fan. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, sons Stephen Bartos II, Robert Bartos (Jennifer), and Skyler Bartos (Elizabeth); and daughters Suzanne Nicoson (Donnie) and Angelina Xenos-Bartos, grandchildren Sierra, Stephanie, Tevin, McKenna, and Jesse; great-grandchildren Angela, Braxton, Damon, Elena, Riley, Paxton (PT), Aurora, and Allie; cousins Mark Neaderhiser and Michael Neaderhiser, special nephews Paul Brown and Ian Johnson, and best bud Bear.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, brother Michael Emery Bartos, and daughter-in-law Christie Bartos.
