Tarin Lee Harlan Obituary

Tarin Lee Harlan (Hoover), 63, passed away at home on December 22, 2025.  She was born in Lebanon, IN on June 11, 1962 to Richard Hoover and Wilma Friess.  She was preceded in death by her father Richard Hoover and his wife Mary Jane Hoover as well as her mother Wilma Friess.  Tarin is survived by her husband of 17 years Dennis Harlan; daughters Lela “Bob” (Cody) and Marie “Murrie”; sisters Oressa Patterson (Larry) and Teresa Wethington (Frank); grandchildren Shaun “Scooter” Rickelman, Olivia “Skeeter” Rickelman, Baylee “Button” Basford, Gavin “Peanut” Clark; niece Courtney as well as many other nieces and nephews; honorary sister Debbie Stennett and her soul sister Gem Keuther as well as her grand dogs.  Tarin was an amazing gourmet cook and loved to bake.  Terin would always bake everyone’s birthday cake, she was always very creative. She enjoyed rock hunting, crocheting, reading, playing cards, and always looked forward to girl’s night. She also enjoyed jeopardy.  Tarin wrote and published two songs, Little Sister and Bar room Angel.  She also had an award winning recipe for quiche pizza. She was known as a domestic Goddess. She was a mommy to two, mom to many, and oma to all.  She loved her honey and her grandbabies more than anything.  There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
