Teodoro A. Garcia Jr. (T.A.), 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

On December 28, 1965, T.A. married his forever love, Beva Garcia, with whom he shared a remarkable 58 years of marriage until his passing.

T.A. is survived by his wife Beva Garcia; son Jorge Garcia; daughter Marisol Garcia-Foote; son Teodoro (Ted) Garcia III (Michelle); daughter Eva Teresa (Trisha) Marter (Chris); 10 grandchildren Sadie, Marissa, Nick, Corey, Alicia, Tyler, Paul, Ryan, Jamie, and Doug and many great grandchildren. His family was the center of his world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Celia Garcia; brother Robert Garcia; and sister Eva Pedrosa.

He served in the US Army for 8 years and then became a packaging engineer for Mira-Pak (Houston, Tx), Clover Club (Utah), and Chesty Foods (Terre Haute, In). He then created his own company, Packaging Unlimited Machinery, Inc. in Terre Haute in 1985 where he did business nationally and internationally and finally retired in 2010.

He was an active member of the American Legion where he served as head trustee and Commander of Post 104. He also served as Chef de Gare of the 40 & 8.

In his personal time, T.A. enjoyed golfing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm and services will start at 1pm on November 7, 2024 at Samaritan Funeral Home located at 2425 Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute.
