Valerie Lynne Callihan, 57, passed away on October 19, 2024. She was born on January 10, 1967, in Portsmouth, VA to Donald W. and Mary Ann (Minks) Curry. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading. She had a passion for collecting Disney, namely Dumbo and Mulan items. Valerie also loved the Japanese culture, especially trying their different candies and collecting cherry blossoms.

She is survived by her children Thomas Martz (Paige), Zachary McCulley (Ashley), Kelly Thomas, and Roxanne Deal (Stephen); bonus children J.R. Thompson (Stephanie) and Katreena Thompson, siblings Karran Drake (Stan), Loretta Curry, Peter Curry (Wendy), James Curry, and Doanld D. Curry (Carrie); granddaughter Izzy, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Charles and both parents.

Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
